In Quebec
Driver's licence and ID card
You must notify the SAAQ of a change of address within 30 days of moving. You can use the online Service québécois de changement d'adresse, or contact the SAAQ by phone, by mail or at a service outlet.
Vehicle registration
If you have a vehicle registered in your name, one change of address updates both your driver's licence and your vehicle registration. You must notify the SAAQ within 30 days of moving.
Health card
You must notify the RAMQ if you move, whether within or outside Québec. You can use the online Service québécois de changement d'adresse, which sends your new address to 7 departments and agencies at once, or report the change by phone.
Health coverage when you move here
If you arrive from another Canadian province or territory, your Québec coverage usually begins after a maximum of 3 months. During this period, you stay covered by the health plan in your home province or territory.
Across Canada
