Driver's license and ID
Mail a completed Form DL-99 to the ALEA Driver License Division. Updating the address on your license or ID record is free, and if you want a new card with the new address you buy one in an office or online if eligible.
Voter registration
To update your voter registration after a change of address, submit a new voter registration form before the registration deadline. You can do this online at AlabamaVotes.gov with a valid Alabama driver's license or non-driver ID, by mail, or in person at your county Board of Registrars office.

Tell the IRS by using your new address when you file, by sending Form 8822 or a signed written statement, or by telling them in person or by phone.
Mail forwarding
Change your address with USPS online or at your local Post Office. Mail is then forwarded to your new address. Standard mail forwarding lasts 12 months.
