Within 30 days of moving to a new Virginia residence, notify DMV of your new street address. You can do it online, by phone, by mail or at a DMV customer service center.
Vehicle registration
When you change your address on your DMV record, you can also get a revised vehicle registration card. Online is the fastest way.
Voter registration
The registration deadline also applies to address updates. Mail or hand deliver a Voter Registration Application to a registration office, and notify the general registrar of address changes promptly.

Tell the IRS by using your new address when you file, by sending Form 8822 or a signed written statement, or by telling them in person or by phone.
Mail forwarding
Change your address with USPS online or at your local Post Office. Mail is then forwarded to your new address. Standard mail forwarding lasts 12 months.
