In Washington
Driver's license and ID
You have 10 days after you move to change the address on your license or ID. Updating the address is free online or by mail. Visit an office only if you want a new photo. This does not update your vehicle registration.
Vehicle registration
If you change your address, you must update your vehicle or boat record. Changing it on one vehicle does not change the others. Update online or at a vehicle licensing or Quick Title office.
Voter registration
Update your voter registration online, or submit an updated form by mail or in person at a county elections office.

Internal Revenue Service
Tell the IRS by using your new address when you file, by sending Form 8822 or a signed written statement, or by telling them in person or by phone.
Mail forwarding
Change your address with USPS online or at your local Post Office. Mail is then forwarded to your new address. Standard mail forwarding lasts 12 months.
